Parson Russell is considered to fall into the category of little dogs, with an average weight between 8 and 10 kg and a height of 33 to 36 centimeters at the withers. Their extremities are long and solid, with strong musculature, and their length is what distinguishes them noticeably from Jack Russells, as they have shorter legs. Its tail is thick, short and set high.
Its head has a flat front and a thinner shape as it approaches the muzzle, with a faint stop. Parson Russells have slightly sunken eyes, almond-shaped and dark in color, and their gaze is very expressive and lively. Its ears are small and characterized by having a "V" shape, falling forward or to the sides of the head.
