If you choose another dog breed whose needs are very different from those of the Border Collie and whose energy is very low, you will have two puppies with completely different needs and perhaps the proper care of both becomes more difficult.
On the other hand, if you have another dog whose energy is more identical to the Border Collie, the care of both animals will be simpler, as their needs will be very similar.
