O Siberian Husky is a breed of dog that comes from the places with the most extreme climate on the planet: originally Siberia and later Alaska. It is a very old breed that for decades evolved in Siberia under the strict parameters of the Chukchi tribe to adapt perfectly to the environment in which it was raised.
In northeastern Siberia temperatures are really low, dropping below -50°C. Furthermore, the wind increases the extreme cold that is felt. The Husky is perfectly equipped with a fur that protects it from both the elements, just as it does from rain.

The variation in temperature from one season to another is so great in Siberia that for this reason the Siberan Husky changes his fur twice a year, instead of the annual exchange of the other breeds of puppies.

Elements needed for Husky brushing
An important element is a towel where we will pick up our Husky's dead fur. Beside you should be a trash bag to put the hair that was left in the towel and so prevent that hair ends up flying all over the house.
A fundamental instrument will be a metal scraper. With it we can brush our dog's fur in the opposite direction to the hair growth and quickly eliminate the dead hair. We must do this carefully so that we don't scratch our dog's skin. While it's easier to injure the dog with a metal comb than with a slicker, the very thickness of the slicker's metal bristles prevents them from scratching the dog's fur.
Lastly, we will need a long bristle plastic brush to brush the Siberian Husky in the direction of hair growth, once we have eliminated the dead hair with the slicker. It is convenient that the brush bristles end with protective balls at the tip.
