Shampoo base

When devising the following formulas to make shampoos suitable for allergic dogs, the first thing you should do is a basic baking soda shampoo.

Sodium bicarbonate is a very bactericidal and deodorant element, which is why it is widely used to clean various accessories and appliances at home. However, for puppies it can be toxic if it is abused or not rinsed well after treatment. The formula is as follows:

  • 250 g of baking soda. If you buy it at the supermarket, it is cheaper than buying it at the pharmacy.
  • 1 liter of water.

Mix the two products well and store in a bottle away from light. This solution will then be mixed with the vegetable product with anti-allergic properties of your choice.

oat shampoo

O oat shampoo for puppies it is very calming and easy to prepare. Follow these steps:

  1. Put 100 g of whole oat flakes in a blender until they become flour. If you want, you can also buy oatmeal straight away.
  2. In a container, mix the oatmeal with half a liter of bicarbonate-based shampoo (shake the bottle or bottle where you kept the shampoo beforehand).
  3. Beat and mix the oatmeal with the base shampoo.
  4. And the oat shampoo is ready to use in the dog's bath.

Half a liter of oat shampoo is more than enough to bathe a big dog. If the dog is small, divide the amount. During the summer the shampoo can be used at room temperature, in the winter it is advisable to heat the mixture a little before applying it.

After watering the dog, apply the oat shampoo by rubbing it well into its skin. Do not apply to eyes or genitals. Leave it on for 4 or 5 minutes and rinse the shampoo very well so that no bicarbonate residues remain on the dog's epidermis. Dry the dog well.

aloe vera shampoo

O aloe vera shampoo for allergic dogs it is very cleansing and easy to do. Follow the instructions below:

  1. In a blender, mix half a liter of basic bicarbonate shampoo with a teaspoon of aloe vera essential oil.
  2. Beat well until everything is well mixed.
  3. Follow the bath method from the previous point, applying the aloe vera shampoo instead of the oat shampoo.

You must discard what is left. Decrease the amount proportionally in the case of small puppies.

  1. Pour into a container with half a liter of basic bicarbonate shampoo, a teaspoon of honey and a glass of apple cider vinegar.

  3. Apply in the same way as in the previous points.

You should rinse the dog thoroughly after bathing, as honey is sticky. This homemade shampoo is not recommended for long-haired puppies. Remember to divide the amount if the dog is small. Discard the remaining mixture.
