Age equivalence depends on the cat's life stage
Just like when trying to calculate the human age of a dog, you should know that in the case of cats it is not possible to make statements like: each year of a feline is equivalent to 5 years of a human, for example. This is because the equivalence between feline and human years is dynamic and varies depending on the vital stage where the cat is.
For example, a cat reaches adulthood at approximately two years of age, which means that this brief period of time could translate into 24 human years.
On the other hand, when the cat has reached adulthood and begins to mature progressively until it irretrievably becomes an elderly feline, the equivalence between human years and animal years varies.
We could summarize that in the period that separates a baby kitten from a young/adult kitten, there is great growth and maturation, which is equivalent to a good amount of human years, but when the organism has fully completed its development, the difference begins to significantly decrease.
