Siamese cats are from the ancient kingdom of Zion (now Thailand) and, formerly it was said that only royalty could have this feline breed. Fortunately, these days, any cat lover can enjoy this excellent and beautiful pet.
In fact, there are only two types of Siamese cats: the modern Siamese cat and the so-called Thai, the ancient type from which today's Siamese come. The latter had as its main characteristic being white (sacred color in Zion) and having a slightly rounder face. Its body was slightly more compact and rounder.

The Siamese and their character
A common physical characteristic of Siamese cats is the spectacular bright blue color of your eyes.
Other relevant characteristics in Siamese cats are how clean they are and how affectionate they show to the people around them. They are even very patient and proactive with children.
I met a couple who had a Siamese cat as a pet and they told me that their daughters dressed the cat in doll dresses and hats, as well as walking him in a toy stroller. Sometimes the cat sat at the wheel of a plastic toy truck, too. By this I mean that Siamese are really patient with children, as well as being kind to them, something we can't see in other cat breeds.
Color Types of Siamese Cats
Currently Siamese cats distinguished by their color, since their morphology is very identical. Their body is beautiful, with an elegant and elastic bearing, despite having a well-defined muscular constitution that makes them very agile.
The colors of your fur may vary from cream white to dark brown gray, but always with a very special feature in their face, ears, legs and tail, which makes them very different from other feline breeds. In the mentioned body areas, their body temperature is lower, and in Siamese cats the fur of these parts is much darker, almost black or clearly black, which together with the characteristic blue of their eyes defines them and clearly differentiates them from other breeds.

- Lilac pont, is the light gray Siamese cat. It is a very pretty and common shade, but it should be taken into account that Siamese cats darken their shade with age.
- cream point, the fur is cream or light orange. Cream or ivory is more common than orange. Many puppies are very white at birth, but in just three months they change their color.
- chocolate point, is the light brown Siamese.

- seal point, is the dark brown Siamese cat.
- blue point, so called the dark gray Siamese cats.
- red point, are the dark orange Siamese cats. It is an unusual color among the Siamese.
Standard color variants
There are two more types of variations between Siamese cats:
- tabby point. Siamese cats that have a mottled pattern, but that are based on the colors mentioned above, are given this name.
- tortie point. Siamese cats with reddish spots receive this name, precisely because this color resembles the scales of a turtle.
