Are there tigers in Africa?

But as we already know, not because these animals originally developed in this region, but since 2002 the Laohu Valley Reserve (a Chinese term meaning tiger) was created in South Africa, with the aim of developing a program for the captive tiger breeding, to later be reintroduced into habitats in southern and southwestern China, one of the regions where they originate.
This program has been questioned because it is not easy to reintroduce large cats to their natural ecosystems, but also because of the genetic limitations that occur due to the crossing between a small group of specimens.
What is the Bengal Tiger habitat?
The Bengal Tiger, whose scientific name is tiger panthertigers, have as subspecies Panthera tigris altaica, Panthera tigris corbetti, panthera tigris jacksoni, Panthera tigris amoyensis and also extinct ones.
The Bengal tiger, in which, due to one of its color variations, there is also the white tiger, mainly inhabits india, but can also be found in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma and Tibet. Historically they were located in ecosystems with drier and colder climates, however, they currently develop in tropical florests. In order to protect the species, the largest populations are found in some National Parks in India, such as the Sundarbans and Ranthambore.
These beautiful animals are in danger of extinction mainly due to poaching with the excuse that they are dangerous to humans, but the background is the commercialization mainly of their skin as well as their bones.

However, there are some variations in coloration due to two types of mutations: one can give rise to white individuals, while the other produces a brown coloration.
What is the habitat of the Sumatran tiger?
The other tiger subspecies is the tiger pantherprobe, also called Sumatran tiger, java or probe. In addition to the Sumatran tiger, this species includes other extinct tiger species, such as Java and Bali.
This species of tiger inhabits the island of sumatra, located in Indonesia. It can be present in ecosystems such as forest and lowlands, but also in mountainous areas. This type of habitat makes it easier for them to camouflage themselves by ambushing their prey.
Although some Sumatran tiger populations are not in any protected area, others are found in National Parks as part of conservation programs, such as Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, Gunung Leuser National Park and Kerinci Seblat National Park.
The Sumatran tiger is in critical danger of extinction due to habitat destruction and massive hunting. Compared to the Bengal Tiger it is smaller in size, although records indicate that the extinct subspecies of Java and Bali were even smaller in size. Its coloration is also orange, but the black stripes are usually thinner and more abundant, and it also has a white color in some areas of the body and a kind of beard or short mane, which grows mainly on males.

They exist serious concerns as for the future of tigers, because despite some efforts to protect the tigers, they continue to be heavily impacted by the despicable action of hunting them and also by massive changes to the habitat, mainly for the development of certain types of agriculture.
Although there have been some accidents with tigers that attacked people, we emphasize that they are not the animal's responsibility. It is absolutely our duty to establish actions to avoid encounters with these animals with humans that lead to unfortunate results for people and, of course, for these animals as well.
It is important to keep in mind that the tiger habitat is determined in different areas and if more measures are not established that are really effective, most likely in the future the tigers end up disappearing, being a painful act and a priceless loss of animal diversity.
