According to the media, a baby about 3 months old was abandoned near the garbage dump in Obninsk, Russia. The baby will have been left inside a cardboard box, which served as a shelter for a stray cat, to Masha.
The city of Obninsk has very low temperatures and it was the heat produced by Masha that allowed the newborn baby not to die of the cold. The cat slept with the little newborn and her body temperature allowed the baby to be warm while he was in the street.

Masha was lying next to the baby who was dressed and had some diapers and baby food beside him, which suggests that the abandonment was intentional.

The boy, who was immediately taken to hospital, was healthy and without any consequences, according to the doctors. The low temperatures, which would easily be fatal for a human being with few defenses, did not affect the child in the least, since the kitten never left her side during the hours the baby was out.
