How is the emperor scorpion
This invertebrate comes from Africa and what is certain is that the trend in homes is increasingly popular. For this reason it is not difficult to find him, no matter which country you are in.
It has a large size as females can reach up to 18 centimeters (male about 15 centimeters) and they are quite peaceful specimens, one reason why many people decide to adopt him. They are glossy black in color although they may have a slightly different shade. As a general rule, they don't usually use their stinger even to kill their prey, they prefer their huge and powerful pincers.
The sting of this animal is not deadly to humans, however if we receive one it can cause a great feeling of pain. It is also possible that some people may have allergies. Of course, we should not leave it within the reach of children for obvious reasons.
Even so it is not recommended to have an emperor scorpion, for many reasons:
- Without knowing we can be allergic to its poison, and it can be deadly
- It is protected by the CITES agreement as it is in danger of extinction
- Probably most copies come from illegal trafficking
